1. AUDIO SYSTEM OPERATION

Display audio_Ext_EE

OFF mode

: For switching over to a broad-

casting station within the same RDS net-
work; convenient for following the
appropriate stations in a wide region.

ON mode

: For switching over to a broad-

casting station within the same local pro-
gram network.

WHEN RECEIVING FM RADIO-
BROADCASTS

z

“TP” (Traffic Program) will appear on the
screen. In TP mode, the radio tuner seeks
radio stations that broadcast traffic infor-
mation. When the tuner seeks out a traffic
information program, the program name
will appear on the screen.

z

If a TA broadcast is received, the radio will
automatically be switched to that traffic
information. When the program ends, the
radio will return to the paused broadcast.

EON (Enhanced Other Network) system: If
an RDS station (with EON data) you are
listening to is not broadcasting a traffic in-
formation program in TA mode, the radio
will automatically be switched to a traffic
information broadcast using the EON AF
list. When the traffic information program
ends, the radio will re-tune to the broad-
cast that was previously tuned in automat-
ically.

RDS (RADIO DATA SYSTEM)

FM ALTERNATIVE
FREQUENCY (AF)

A better reception frequency of the
same broadcasting program will auto-
matically be re-tuned in if the current
reception worsens.

This function can be changed to “On” or
“Off” by users in the radio settings. See

REGIONAL CODE CHANGE

FM TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENT
(TA)

The radio tuner will automatically seek
stations that regularly broadcast traffic
information as well as stations that
broadcast only when they report traffic
information.
