7  Operation 

The operation of the small press depends on the 

intended purpose and on the accessories and tools 

used. 
When operating the TOX

®

-FinePress, observe 

the specifications in this operating manual and 

the internal work instructions for the machine. 

 

Protective guards 

The press must only be operated if 

all protective guards are mounted 

completely and are effective.  
These protective guards must not 

be circumvented or put out of func-

tion. 

 

 

Before beginning work, check 

regularly 

 

the 

compressed air pipes

 

 

the 

air pressure

 as per the 

specifications for the working 

process 

 

Tool room 

and 

working area 

(contamination, damage, inter-

fering objects in the working 

area, availability of operating 

material) 

Pneumatic stroke counter ZPZ 001

 (option) 

 

 

The pneumatic stroke counter is equipped with a 

multi-digit display range (

). 

The reset button (

2

) can be switched to two po-

sitions: 

Shift downwards: 

Lock the reset button 
Shift upwards and press: 

Reset display to '0' 

Safety during operation 

 

Safety in case of malfunction 

Familiarize yourself with the safety 

devices of the machine. This spe-

cially applies to the behaviour of 

the machine in case of occurring 

faults (e.g. compressed air drop). 

 

 

Procedure in case of a failure 

 

Separate the 

press

 from the 

compressed air supply,

 

 

fix the errors, 

 

connect the press

 and 

move it 

to home position

Start the 

working process again

 

 

Compressed air drop 

If the compressed air should drop 

during production, check the air 

supply as well as the last produced 

workpiece. 

 

 

Information on failures 

can be found in chapter 'Notes on 

faults and their remedies'. 

 

Switching-off the machine 

Close the compressed air supply of the control 

system.  

 

Protecting the machine 

Protect the machine against use by 

unauthorized persons – also during 

short non-working times.  

 

Cleaning of the machine 

 

Cleaning agents 

For cleaning the machine, do not 

use high-pressure cleaners, clean-

ing agents or petroleum ether.
