Setting up the press
Damages to the press or tools
To avoid damages to the press,
tool, the tool holding fixture and
workpieces: After each change of a
setting (e.g. changing the press
stroke, mounting another tool, set-
ting the work height) check also all
the other adjustments and correct
them, if necessary.
Mounting the provided tool
Quality of the tool shank
The tool shank must be hardened,
hardness HRc 62 ± 2
Case depth min. 0.5 mm; shaft tol-
erance fit f 9.
The individual tools can be screwed to the thread
of the ram.
Tool holding fixture (option)
The tool holding fixture has to be screwed into
the ram thread. It centres the tool via a fitting
bore. The inserted tools are fastened with a set
screw. The tool holding fixture is available in four
different versions. The individual bore holes can
be found in the data sheet 'TOX
®
-FinePress'.

3-in-1 tool holding fixture (option)
The tool can be screwed on the thread of the
ram. There are three possibilities to fasten the tool
in the tool holding fixture (option):

Holding by fitting bore with thread
Unscrew the spring washer unit and remove
the spring washers.
Screw the threaded shank of the tool into the
tool holding fixture.

Force-fitting connection by spring washer
elements
Open the strain washer unit (
3
) by turning till
the shank of the tool can be put into the tool
holding fixture.
Push the shank of the tool as far as possible into
the tool holding fixture.
Fasten the spring washer unit again. The tool
is properly tightened by the spring washer (

).
