When$installed,$the$bottom$of$the$circular$portion$of$the$swing$arm$
must%not%touch
$the$sensor$housing.$
This$is$to$ensure$that$it$can$rotate$freely$and$that$it$will$not$suffer$stresses$that$could$break$the$internal$
mechanism.$ Be$ sure$ that$ the$ mounting$ bolts$ for$ the$ trailer$ hitch$ sensor$ assembly$ are$ installed$ one$
directly$above$the$other.$Also$be$sure$that$the$installed$stretch$cord$is$level$–$it$must$not$pull$up$or$down$
on$the$swing$arm.$

Failure$ to$ follow$ these$ instructions$ will$ void$ the$ warranty.$ No$ returns$ will$ be$ accepted$ if$ these$
instructions$are$not$followed.$

MEASURE THE DISTANCE FROM THE SENSOR TO THE HITCH BALL

Once$you$have$mounted$your$Trailer$Sensor$Assembly$to$the$trailer,$measure$the$distance$(

)$from$the$
center$of$the$housing$to$the$centerline$of$the$hitch$ball:$

Measure$using$millimeters$or$inches$(if$inches,$measure$to$the$nearest$1/16$of$an$inch).$The$accuracy$of$
the$overall$system$is$affected$by$how$precisely$you$make$this$measurement.$
