BREAKDOWN RESEARCH
Please read very carefully the following table in which it is possible to detect and solve the problems. For any other problem not indicated,
please contact your deler.
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
The appliance is not powered
Make sure that the power cable is connected from the machine’s plug to the electrical
outlet
The edge of the laminated document is
wrinkly
This problem is normal and inevitable when you laminate material with reduced thickness.
Cut the edges.
When you laminate two article at the
same time, one article is not laminted
perfectly
For the best performance you can laminate more articles at one time.
When the two articles do no have the same thickness, it is unavoidable that a lamination of
a document will result wrinkly. For a best result make sure that both articles have the same
thickness
The film reels around the rollers during
the hot lamination
The film has not been feeded correctly: is the adhesive side turned towards the roller?
Feed the film from the correct side.
The laminating temperature is too high. Reduce the temperature: press the button “STOP”
immediately. After that the rollers will be cooled down, cut the film on the upper and lower
roller, just in front of the stabilizer bars. Reverse the roller at a very low speed to allow the
machine to release the rollers from the film; remove the film from the rollers.
The laminated document is wrinkly
Check the tension of the film, and make sure that the film will be feeded properly (see the
section of this manual “feeding the film”).
The film is not adhered properly
The laminating temperature is too low: there is no enough heat for melting the adhesive.
Raise the temperature
Make sure the laminating roller are in working position
The lamination is not homogeneous but
the laminated document has a irregular
surface (is curled).
Accumulation of adhesive and dirty rollers: clean the rollers.
Damages to the rollers may also cause irregularieties in the surface of the film: inspect the
rollers
Cloudiness and streaks in the film after
the lamination
Raise the temeprautre or decrease the speed. The streaks are caused by the incomplete
adhesion of the film.
The appliance is not powered
The laminator is equipped with 3 fuses (one is located next to the power switch, the other
two are located under the bottom of the laminator). Please check the fuses
