1. System Configuration

This serial PI/O system consisting of intelligent PI/Os (referred to hereafter as the intelligent

PI/O system) consists of a terminal block unit that is mounted on a DIN rail and PI/O modules

that are mounted on this unit, providing a space saving chassis-less system.

On-line attachment and removal that is essential for continuously operating instrumentation

control and dual bus signals provide high reliability, and at the same time the system has

intelligent functions for response to a variety of signals from the work site so that it can be used in

a wide variety of fields.
