Using 3D functions
Before using 3D programming, see and follow
“3D Information” section on page 100.
Viewing 3D programming requires the following:
• TOSHIBA 3D Glasses FPT-AG02G
UL series (supplied)
TL series (not supplied)
• Compatible 3D playback device or 3D source
• 3D capable high quality HDMI cable
Names and functions
To set the 3D glasses:

When you use for the first
time, peel off the
protective films from the
lenses.

Turn the 3D glasses on
with the power switch.
NOTE:
If the infrared data communication between the
television and 3D glasses is lost for 5 minutes, the 3D glasses
turn off automatically to preserve battery life.
To charge the battery:
If the 3D glasses are turned on while the battery power is low,
the power light will blink 5 times. (If the battery is dead, the
power light will not blink or light.)

Turn the 3D glasses off with the power switch, and
connect to the TV with the battery charge cable.
NOTE:
• If the 3D glasses are turned on, the battery will not
charge.
• When the TV is turned off or in standby mode, the
battery will not charged.
• When charging the battery the use of a USB cable
other than the battery charge cable supplied is not
covered by warranty.

The power light will Light up.

When the light goes out, the charging is completed.
NOTE:
• It takes approximately two hours to charge the
battery.
• If the usage time is extremely short even after the
battery has been charged fully, the battery may be
worn out. Contact your dealer.
To check the battery level:
When the 3D glasses are turned on, the behavior of power
light is different.
• Charged:
Lights up for 2 seconds
• Low charge: Blinks 5 times
CAUTION:
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly
disposed of.
Using the 3D glasses

Peel these off before beginning use.
Infrared reception

signal for the liquid-
crystal shutter
control sent from the
television.
Lens (liquid-crystal
shutter)
A right and left liquid-
crystal shutter opens and
closes alternately with
the images for the left
eye and for the right eye
alternately projected on
the television screen.
In this way, 3D images are
reproduced.
