Warning
• Do not use a battery pack other than one specified as it can result in a fire or damage to the unit.
• Do not heat, open, or short-circuit the battery pack. Do not throw the battery pack into a fire. Doing so may cause an
explosion or a fire.
• Make sure that the battery pack is attached firmly to the player when using it.

Charging starts, and the POWER/CHG indicator
illuminates in orange.
When the charging is completed, the POWER/CHG
indicator turns off.
Charging time is approximately 3.5 hours. The player
will operate for about 2.5 hours at normal
temperature if powered by a charged brand-new
battery pack. Charging time and life of a battery pack
vary depending on environmental conditions and
operational status. Low temperature will extend the
charging time and shorten the life.
Notes
• The attached battery pack may get warm when you are
charging it or operating the player. This is not a defect.
• The POWER/CHG indicator flashes in green when the
power in the battery pack is running out.
Detaching the battery pack
1 Disconnect the AC adapter and the power cord
from the player.
2 Detach the battery pack while pressing the
release button.

Note
Do not detach the battery pack while you are operating the
player (while the POWER/CHG indicator illuminates in green).
LCD brightness while using the battery pack
Since the player operates in a power saving mode when
attached the battery pack, the LCD brightness may be
reduced. It can be restored by pressing the DIMMER
button on the remote control, however in this case,
battery pack life will be shortened.
Note on the top cover while using the battery
pack
Be careful when opening the top cover to its full extent
when using the player with the battery pack, as the top
cover may knock against the battery pack, causing
serious damage to the player.
