3 Tests and Diagnostics

3.18 CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Test

To execute the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM test, select

from the DIAGNOSTICS TEST

MENU, press

Enter

and follow the directions on the screen.

NOTE

: For the subtest 01, 02 and 03, use the TOSHIBA CD-ROM TEST DISK TDY-01

or ABEX TEST CD-ROM TCDR-702 and DVD-ROM TEST DISK TSD-1. For the
subtest 04, use a CD-RW on the market.

Subtest 01

Sequential read

This subtest is a sequential reading of one-block units (2K bytes) of all the
logical addresses.

Subtest 02

Read specified address

This subtest reads one-block data from a specified address.

Subtest 03

Random address/data

This subtest reads one-block data and multi-block data from random addresses
200 times.

Subtest 04

RW 1point W/R/C

This subtest writes, reads and compares data at one point on a CD/RW media.
