You can also enable Hibernation by pressing
Fn + F4
. See Chapter 5,
Keyboard, for details.
To enter Hibernation mode, follow the steps below:
1. Click
Start
and click
Turn Off Computer
.
2. In
Turn Off Computer
, click
Hibernate
. The
Standby
icon will be
displayed initially. To display the
Hibernate
icon press the
Shift
key.
The computer will also enter Hibernate mode automatically when you:

Press the power button.
■
Close the lid (the Display).
First, however, make the appropriate settings according to the steps
below.
1. Open the Windows
Control Panel
.
2. Open Performance and Maintenance .
3. Open TOSHIBA Power Saver .
4. Select the Hibernate window, select the Enable Hibernate support
check box and click the Apply button.
5. Select the Power Save Modes window.
6. Double-click Power Save Modes and open the System Power Mode
window.
7. Enable the desired Hibernation settings for When I press the power
button and When I close the lid .
8. Click the OK button.
