Searching from the address book or LDAP server
You can search for the recipient’s fax number from the address book or LDAP server.
To search for the recipient’s fax number from the LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) server,
the name of the LDAP server to be connected is required to be registered to the MFP in advance. For
details on the LDAP server, ask your network administrator.

To display the recipient search menu, press
while the address list is displayed.
To display the group search menu, press
while the group list is displayed.

Enter the keyword in the category which you want to use for searching. Press
[Search].
You can search for the desired recipient’s fax number by specifying multiple keywords.
You can search for contacts even if you enter the partial strings. If you enter multiple search
conditions, only the contacts which meet all the entered conditions are displayed as the search
results.
Location
Select a location where the address book to be searched is stored. By selecting “MFP Local”,
you can search the address book of this equipment and a shared address book.
