Sending Internet Faxes
Just like the Scan to E-mail function, Internet Fax sends scanned data to specified E-mail addresses as
an attached file. The difference is the format of the file; it is TIFF-FX (Profile S), which can be received
and printed on Internet Fax devices. With a few additional steps, you can also save the sent data or set
advanced functions for each transmission.

To use the Internet Fax feature, the network administrator must set the equipment configuration.

Place the original(s).

Press [Fax] on the Home screen.

Set the transmission conditions.
Original Size
Press the corresponding button for the original size. To have the equipment automatically set
the original size, press [Auto].
When using originals of various paper widths, press [Different Width].

Resolution
Select the resolution for scanning the original.

Exposure
Select the appropriate exposure for scanning the original. Pressing [Auto] automatically sets
the exposure best suited to your originals. To set the exposure manually, use

Original Mode
Select an original mode to scan the original for the best image quality.

— Press this button to scan an original consisting of both text and photos.

— Press this button to scan an original consisting of text.

[Photo]
— Press this button to scan an original containing photo images printed on
photographic paper.
2-Sided Scan
Select the type (1-sided or 2-sided) of the original to be scanned
Single:
Press this button to scan a 1-sided original.
Book:
Press this button to scan a 2-sided right-to-left (book-type) original.
Tablet:
Press this button to scan a 2-sided top-to-bottom (tablet-type) original.
