4.7 Modification of IEC103 Data
4.7.1 Autoreclose status
Autoreclose status values 1, 2 and 3 are created from three signals of IEC60870-5-103.
Though IEC60870-5-103 basically reports only 0/1 (off/on) information, IEC61850 needs to
convert the autoreclose status into the status values 1 to 3.
Therefore, G1IF4 provides the following signal processing function for the three signals of
IEC60870-5-103.

Though IEC103 reports the fault location result in an impedance value or in a distance (km), the
IEC61850 requires that both results are output simultaneously.
