7.1 Communication using the socket interface
EN655 supports both the UDP/IP and TCP/IP communication.
EN655 acts as a communication interface for the type1 light controller and supports the USEND_N and
URCV_N instruction words. By utilizing the USEND_N and URCV_N instruction words, communication
applications of the type1 light controller are possible.
For details on the socket communication instructions of the Unified Controller type1 light, refer to the
functional manual (6F8C1221).
The EN655 module has a maximum of 8 sockets available for use. The user may define the socket
number (1 to 8) to be used in the ‘open’ instruction. The instruction words for the socket used by the
user are only functional when the EN655’s operation mode is in RUN mode.
7.1.1 Send Instruction USEND_N
USEND_N supports the following commands as the send instruction.

When through the host’s diagnosis function, the controller is detected as “unhealthy”, all
the user sockets will automatically be closed.
