2.3 Replacing the Module
EN655 module can be only replaced while the power is off.
Before replacing, make sure to turn off the power of the G2I/O Basic unit, expansion
unit and external power of the I/O module.
Upon replacement, note the following.
Make sure that the replacement module is the same model.
Use the setting of the operation mode setting switches (8-bit DIP switches) and the
station address setting switches (rotary switches) of the replaced module.
CAUTION
Before touching the module or inserting or
removing the expansion cable, wear a wrist
strap and white cotton gloves. Ground the
wrist strap to remove static electricity.
Otherwise, it may cause damage or failure of the
module.

When placing the module during replacement,
use a conductive mat.
Ground the conductive mat.
Otherwise, it may cause damage or failure of the
module.

Before replacing the EN655 module, turn off
the power of the G2I/O basic, expansion unit
