Servicing the Safety Filter
The air filter has a secondary, safety filter element inside the
primary air filter to prevent dislodged dust and other items
from entering the engine while changing the main element.
Replace the safety filter, never clean it.
Important:
Never attempt to clean the safety filter.
If the safety filter is dirty, then the primary filter is
damaged. Replace both filters.
Servicing the Engine Oil and
Filter
Service Interval:
After the first 50 hours
Every 150 hours

Remove the drain plug (
) and let the oil flow
into a drain pan.

When the oil stops, install the drain plug.

Remove the oil filter (
).

Apply a light coat of clean oil to the new filter seal.
5.
Install the replacement oil filter to the filter adapter.
Turn the oil filter clockwise until the rubber gasket
contacts the filter adapter, then tighten the filter an
additional 1/2 turn.
Important:
Do not overtighten the filter.

Add oil to the crankcase; refer to
Engine-Oil Level (page 21)
