 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

 

 

Removal and installation

 of 

cowl

 

Cowl removal

 

1.

 

Remove  the  mounting  screw  of  the  manual 

starter side.

 

2. 

Pull  the  cowl  hooks  (front  side  2  pieces),  lift 

the cowl slowly. 

･

Remove the cowl carefully 

without coming in contact with 

discharge valves. 

3.

 

Pull  the  cowl  hook  (total  4  hooks),  remove 

the cowl completely.

 

 

 

Cowl installation

 

Install the cowl in reverse order of removal.

 

1. Fit the plugs to the plug holes on the rear side 

of the pump. (2 places) 

Be  careful  without  coming  in  contact  with 

discharge valves.(Do not damage the cowl.) 

2.

 

Fit  the  plug  hole  hooks  on  the  front  side.  (2 

places) 

3.

 

Put  the  plugs  in  completely  while  holding  the 

cowl top.

 

4.

 

Fix the cowl with a mounting screw.

Maintenance 

Regarding the disassemble and assemble, refer 
to  "Chapter  11  MAINTENANCE  AFTER 
OPERATION      Cleaning  strainer  for  priming 
water" . 

･

Incorrect installation of the strainer 

may  cause  a  vacuum  leak.  Be 

sure to install the strainer correctly.

 

Wash the strainer  with fresh water after each 
use.
