4  Assembly Splice Tray Holder

4.1  TCB-O variant fully equipped

If this Tower Connection Box is present, are all trays, like
the splice tray, splitter tray and patch tray assembled in the
factory.
In this case you can skip this chapter and continue directly
at chapter 5.

4.2  TCB empty or only partially assembled

Additional splice tray blocks with SC or SE trays, splitter
trays or patch trays must be ordered separately from the
accessories, according to configuration.

4.2.1

Splice tray assembly

Insert the first Splice tray block direct at the
routing block of the pre-assembled Splice Tray Holder or
depending on the configuration on top of other blocks.
Additional splice tray blocks need to be mounted
accordingly.

4.2.2

Splitter tray assembly

One splitter tray requires the space of two splice trays.

Insert the Splitter tray(s) into the holder at the
appropriate position.

If required because of the tray layout, remove first 2 splice
trays from the splice tray block, and insert the splitter tray at
that space. In case more than one splitter tray is required,
remove additional trays.

4.2.3

Patch tray assembly

The patch tray unit contains the tray holder loaded with 3
patch trays (no adapters loaded)

Insert the tray holder with the 3 SE patch trays, according
the tray layout plan in the pre-assembled Splice Tray
Holder. In case more than one tray holder for additional
patch trays is required, it must be installed directly after the
first tray holder
