MAINTENANCE
BALL VALVES
The ball valve at the hydraulic reservoir may need to be closed
during certain maintenance or repair procedures.
THE BALL VALVE
MUST BE OPEN (handle parallel with valve) WHEN TRACTOR IS
RE-STARTED OR PUMP IS COUPLED TO MOTOR OR P.T.O.!
Failure to do so will result in component failure!
GREASING CUTTER SHAFT-FLAIL MOWERS
Locate grease zerks on each end of cutter shaft(s).
These are located on the bearing cover. Normal
conditions require one or two pumps in each bearing,
using Lithium-Complex Extreme Pressure grease
conforming to NLGI2-ISO 320 specifications. This is to
be done with a standard grease gun daily or at
8 hour
intervals. CAUTION: Over greasing may cause
premature seal failure.
GREASING GROUND ROLLER SHAFT-FLAIL
Locate grease zerks on each end of roller tube at
lower rear of head. Normal conditions require one
or two pumps in each bearing, using Lithium-
Complex Extreme Pressure grease conforming to
NLGI2-ISO 320 specifications. This is to be done
with a standard grease gun daily or at
8 hours
intervals. CAUTION: Over greasing may cause
premature seal failure.
