to each of them. Carry out the relevant
intervention according to the irst deadline.
8.2 TRANSMISSION BELTS
Check that all the belts are intact.
8.3 STEERING WHEEL
Turn the steering wheel slightly
forwards and backwards.
There must be no mechanical
clearance in the steering chains.
If this is not the case, contact an
authorised service centre to have
the correct adjustment made.
8.4 BATTERY
8.4.1
Batterypowerreserve
Battery power reserve (and therefore the
mowable lawn surface before recharging
is required) mainly depends on:
A.
Environmental factors that cause
higher energy requirements:
– Mowing dense, high and/or wet grass;
B.
Operator behaviour that should be avoided:
– Switching the machine on and of
frequently whilst working;
– Setting a cutting height that is too
low for the lawn conditions;
– Working at a speed that is too
high in relation to the amount
of grass to be removed.
To optimise battery power reserve
it is always recommended to:
•
Cut the grass when the lawn is dry;
•
Cut the grass frequently so that
it doesn’t grow too tall;
•
Set a higher cutting height when the
grass is very tall, then set a lower
height and cut the lawn again;
•
Do not use the machine in "mulching"
mode with very high grass.
8.4.2
Rechargethebattery
The energy required for operating the
machine is provided by a battery which
requires careful maintenance to ensure
eiciency and a long service life.
The machine battery must always be charged:
•
before using the machine for the
irst time after purchase;
•
When the minimum state of charge
is reached (Fig. 7/H8).
•
Before a prolonged period of inactivity
or at least once a month;
•
before starting up the machine after
a prolonged period of inactivity.
IMPORTANT
When the battery is not
connected to the mains network via the
designated charge cable, the battery charge
will reduce even if the battery is not used. If
the battery is subject to a deep discharge,
it could be seriously damaged to the point
that it can no longer be used. The warranty
does not cover damage caused by a
battery not having charged correctly.
IMPORTANT
The battery must only be
charged using the charge cable supplied
(Fig. 3.D). Other recharging systems
can irreversibly damage the battery.
IMPORTANT
The battery must only be
charged in an area protected against poor
weather conditions, at a recommended
temperature of b0 e + 40 °C.
IMPORTANT
The battery can be charged
at any time with no risk of damaging it.
Do not carry out maintenance
or cleaning operations while
the battery is charging.
To charge the battery:
•
bring the machine to an earthed
power socket (to prevent the use of an
extension cable) and remove the key;
•
Lift the rear hood;
•
Unscrew and remove the charge
socket cap (Fig. 13.A);
•
Connect the charge cable (supplied) to
the charge socket, turning the fastening
nut of the corresponding connector in
a clockwise direction (Fig. 14.A);
•
Connect the charge cable (supplied)
to the mains power network by
inserting the plug (Fig. 15).
