CHAPTER 6: SIDE GUARDS

Note:

Only Tension Adjustable by Strap Back Upholstery is available for use with the Aluminum Fendered Side Guards. If

your chair does not have Tension Adjustable by Strap Back Upholstery and you are ordering the Aluminum Fendered Side

Guards, you will need to also order the Tension Adjustable by Strap Back Upholstery. To install the new back upholstery, if

needed, see “Tension Adjustable by Strap Back Upholstery” on page 7-1 to 7-2.

1. Insert Allen Screw #1 through the washer, side guard, non-threaded band clamp, back cane and the threaded band

clamp. Do not tighten. See Figure 6-5.

2. Insert Allen Screw #2 through the washer, side guard, non-threaded band clamp, seat frame and the threaded band

clamp. Do not tighten.

Note:

You may reverse the direction of the clamp for additional height options at the front of the chair.

3. Adjust the side guard until the desired position is achieved. Securely tighten the two Allen screws. Use identical side

guard holes on each side of the chair.

Note:

You may need to reposition your wheel locks once your desired placement of the side guard has been achieved.
