Disassembly and Replacement 

 

AND CONNECTORS ARE NOT DAMAGED. THE KEYPAD CABLE CAN BE 
EASILY RIPPED AT THE KEYPAD IF THE CABLE IS STRAINED WHEN 
MOVING THE COVER. 

 
3. 

Carefully remove the instrument cover and turn it upright ¼ turn so the cover can be set on its back 
surface. 

 

NOTE:

  The following steps are necessary only when replacing the display or keypad, when 

replacing the Main Circuit board, or when it is desired to have freer access to the unit by 
moving the top cover away from the instrument.

 

4. 

Open the ferrite bead, or the wire clip and release the cables. 

 

5. 

Disconnect the connector for the display from connector J9 of the Main Circuit board. 

 
6. 

Disconnect the connector for the keypad from connector J13 of the Main Circuit board. 

 
7. 

Disconnect the printer cable from connector J11 of the Main Circuit board.

Set the cover aside. 

 

 

Replacement 
 
1. 

If they were disconnected, connect the printer cable to J11, the keypad cable to J13, and the 
display cables to J9 on the Main Circuit board. (All connectors are unique, so each cable can only 
correctly attach to one connector on the Main Circuit board.) 

 
2. 

Carefully insert the cables into the ferrite bead, or cable holder and snap closed. 

 
3. 

Carefully position the top cover over the instrument by rotating it over the instrument. Make sure 
the mounting screws are aligned with the slots for the screws and the tabs are aligned with the 
holes in the bottom of the instrument.
