Thermo Scientific
Random noisy baseline Contaminated flowcell
Flush the flowcell with cleaning solvents. See
. Check for leaks.
Leak in sample inlet line
Check all of the fittings for leaks from the column
outlet to the flowcell inlet.
Bubble trapped in the flowcell
Increase the flow rate until the bubble is removed.
Supply a backpressure device to the flowcell (and
check the pressure rating to avoid rupturing the
flowcell).
Leaking flowcell
Call a Thermo Fisher Scientific field service engineer
to replace the flowcell.
Insufficient lamp warm-up
Allow a 30 minute warm-up for normal operation
and 1.5 hours for maximum sensitivity.
Lamp aging or defective
Call a Thermo Fisher Scientific field service engineer
to replace the lamp.
Ground loop problem between
integrator and detector
Check for the proper cable connections to the
detector output; do not ground at both ends of the
cable.
Dirty flowcell
Flush the flowcell. See
Integrator input and output voltage
not matching
Verify that the integrator is connected to the
appropriate analog output connections on the
detector. Check the attenuation setting on the
integrator.
