Connecting to the Data System Computer
Y To connect the Accela RI Detector to the data system computer
1. Plug the Ethernet switch into the Ethernet connector port of the Accela RI Detector
using the supplied CAT5, 7 ft long, shielded Ethernet cable with ferrite clamp
(
Figure 13 ).
2. Plug the Ethernet switch into the data system computer using the supplied CAT5, 7 ft
long, shielded Ethernet cable with ferrite clamp.

Note A CAT5 Ethernet cable is the only cable shipped with the Accela RI Detector. If
you already have an Accela LC system, the Ethernet switch and system interconnect
cable are already part of your existing system. If you just purchased an Accela LC
system, locate the Ethernet switch and cables in the Accela system accessory kit.
