Using a wrench, rotate the unit to tighten. Turn the nut
the amount shown in the following chart.
NOTE: Misalignment of the marks will show how much
the nut was tightened, and best of all that it has been tight-
ened.
LIQUID INJECTION SOLENOID VALVE
Removal
1.
Disconnect the coil wires on the liquid injection sole-
noid valve.
2.
Pump down the low side and shut down the unit.
NOTE: Take caution to avoid the danger of liquid
refrigerant escaping when the lines are disconnected.
3.
Disconnect the refrigerant lines on both sides of the
solenoid valve.
4.
Unbolt the solenoid valve from its mounting bracket,
and remove it.

Installation
1.
Fasten the solenoid valve to the mounting bracket.
2.
Connect refrigerant lines to both sides of the solenoid
valve. (The line from the liquid line is connected to the
port marked IN.)
3.
Connect the coil wires to the solenoid valve.
4.
Open the refrigeration valves.
NOTE: The screen inside the solenoid valve is the
same as that used in the pilot solenoid and may
require cleaning.
LIQUID INJECTION METERING ORIFICE
Removal
1.
Disconnect the coil wires on the liquid injection sole-
noid valve.
2.
Pump down the low side and stop the unit.
3.
Disconnect the flexible hose from the metering orifice
and remove the metering orifice from the suction hose
fitting.
NOTE: Take caution to avoid the danger of liquid
refrigerant escaping when the line is disconnected.
NOTE: This orifice may become plugged with dirt
unless the flexible hose and solenoid valve are kept
clean.
Installation
1.
Install the metering orifice on the suction hose fitting.
2.
Connect the flexible hose to the metering orifice fitting.
3.
Open the refrigeration valves.
