3.3.8 Super IO Configuration
This item displays the Super IO chip used in the motherboard.
3.3.8.1 Serial Port 1 Configuration
Serial Port
Select Enabled to enable serial port 1. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
Device Settings
This item displays the settings of Serial Port 1.
Change Settings
This option specifies the base I/O port address and the Interrupt Request address of
Serial Port 1. Select Disabled to prevent the serial port from accessing any system
resources. When this option is set to Disabled, the serial port becomes unavailable.
The options are
Auto , IO=3F8h; IRQ=4; IO=3F8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12;
IO=2F8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12; IO=3E8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12; and
IO=2E8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12;
Device Mode
Use this feature to select the desired mode for a serial port specified. The options are
Normal and High Speed.
3.3.8.2 Serial Port 2 Configuration
Serial Port
Select Enabled to enable serial port 2. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
Serial Port Mode
This feature allows the user to set the serial port mode for Console Redirection. The
options are
SOL and COM.
Device Settings
This item displays the settings of Serial Port 2.
