Syslog ser vice I f Ser ver has been select ed t hen associat ed syslog folder will be
used t o st or e all syst em logs fr om ot her NAS devices which has
assigned t his syst em for syslog ser ver as well as syslog of t his
ser ver unit . I t can be seen fr om associat ed syslog folder wit h files
“ er r or ” , “ I nfor m at ion” and “ war ning” .
I f client has been select ed t hen “ Local” or “ Rem ot ely” can be
choose.
Tar get Choose Local, all syst em logs will be st ored in an associat ed
syslog folder filled in fr om next filed. And t he sy slog folder will
have file “ m essages” t o st or e all syst em logs. I f Rem ot ely has
been select ed, a syslog ser ver is needed and an I P addr ess is
r equir ed.
Syslog folder
Select fr om a dr op down shar e list , all of t he syst em logs will be
st or ed on it . This syslog folder is applied t o “ syslog ser ver” or
“ syslog client ” wit h “ local” select ed.
Log Level The user can choose fr om 3 differ ent levels. “ All” ,
“ War ning/ Er r or ” or “ Er r or ” .
