1. HORIZONTAL SITUATION INDICATOR (HSI) -- Provides a
pictorial presentation of aircraft deviation relative to VOR/GPS
radials and localizer beams. It also displays glide slope
deviations and gives heading reference with respect to
magnetic north. The gyro is remote-mounted and electric
driven
2. NAV FLAG - Flag is in view when the NAV receiver signal is
inadequate.
3. HEADING REFERENCE (LUBBER LINE) -- Magnetic heading
appears under this line when the compass card is slaved or
slewed to the aircraft's magnetic heading.
4. HEADING
WARNING
FLAG (HOG) -- When flag is in view, the
heading display is invalid.
5. COURSE SELECT POINTER -- Indicates VOA/Localizer or
GPS course on the compass card. The selected VOR radial
or localizer heading remains set on the compass card when
the compass card rotates.
