LIMITATIONS OF USE
During use, the components used for attachment
and/or adjustment purposes must be checked at
regular intervals.
3. How to select an anchor point:
The anchor point (anchor device) for personal pro-
tective equipment must be able to withstand at
least the following loads:
EN 795/B - 1 person: 12 kN
CEN/TS 16415/B - 2 persons: 13 kN
and also meet the requirements specified in the
Instructions for Use of the employed fall protection
system. The anchor point should always be located
above the user.
The connection between the harness and anchor
point must be suitable for the standard covering the
respective type of use and must have been certified
to it.

Fall arrest system (e.g., energy absorber to
EN 355, guided type fall arresters to EN 353-
1/2, retractable type fall arresters to EN 360)

Restraint system (e.g., lanyards to EN 354 or
EN 358)

Work positioning system (e.g., lanyards to
EN 354 or EN 358)
For use as a
restraint system
, the anchor point
must be located far enough from the fall-risk edge
so that the user will not be able to reach the fall-risk
edge when using the lanyard.
It is crucial to safety to select the position of the
anchor point and the way how the work is done
such that the free fall and
the height of a fall are
restricted to a minimum.
It is crucial to safety to
ensure prior to any work assignment that there is
enough free space at the work site under the user
(prevention of an impact on the ground or on an
obstacle).
Only a fall arrest harness may be used
as the
body holding device in a fall arrest system.
Pendulum motions during falls must be avoided
by selecting a suitable anchor point.
4. Use according to EN 566:
This sling is intended for use in mountaineering and
climbing.
The product must NOT be placed across sharp
edges without adequate additional protection
(protection against mechanical damage that
might reduce the product's breaking strength
or cause the product to tear)!
Never tie knots into webbing slings -> this
would reduce their breaking strength signifi-
cantly!
The stitching of the webbing sling should be locat-
ed in its free length (no bending at edges or at the
connector)
The
total length
of a subsystem to EN 354 with a
lanyard including an energy absorber, terminations,
and connectors
must not exceed 2m.
A lanyard must not be used
without an energy
absorber
in a, or as a, fall arrest system. Only a
fall arrest harness (EN 361) may be used as
a body
holding device in a fall arrest system.
Never carry out work with this product if, as a result
of your physical or mental condition, your safety
might be compromised in scenarios of normal use
or in emergencies! Any changes or additions not ex-
plicitly described in this Manufacturer’s Information
document are prohibited and may only be carried
out by the manufacturer.
Moisture and ice can adversely affect the properties
of this product in its use according to EN 566 (e.g.,
impaired handling due to icing, …)
It is not permitted to arrange stickers for individual
marking/labeling purposes directly on the textile
components of the products, as the chemicals con-
tained in such stickers can compromise the strength
of these components.
In certain circumstances, using an Edding 3000
permanent marker pen for marking is permitted if
the user can provide the mandatory documentation
proving that such Edding 3000 permanent marker
pen has been used.
However, for safety’s sake, such markings should
always be made in a suitable (= non-load-bearing)
location of the product.
TO BE OBSERVED PRIOR TO USE
Prior to every use, this product must be subject to
a
visual inspection
in order to verify its integrity,
readiness for use and proper functioning.
Once the product has been subject to a fall, its use
