MONITOR SETTINGS
The Monitor Settings page of the PHASE 26 USB ControlPanel
Input
Use this to adjust the playback volume of the monitor signal. This setting has no effect on
the recording volume.
Monitoring
If the device is functioning in ASIO mode, monitoring is generally enabled. This is
indicated by the word “Enabled” in the “Direct Monitoring” field. Now the input channel
selected on the device can be routed directly to an output channel. In this case, the input
signal can be recorded by a compatible recording application. Note that a WavePlay
signal assigned to the output channel cannot be mixed with the monitor signal.
If you select ASIO mode, the monitor connection is indicated as deactivated. The settings
in the “Monitoring” field are used simply to set a default with regard to which output is
“earmarked” for Direct Monitoring. The ASIO driver in this case takes control of activating
and deactivating the monitoring. Things you need to consider for this are described in the
chapter entitled, “The ASIO driver and the PHASE-ASIO ControlPanel”, found on
