6 Commissioning
6.1 Checks before switching on

Danger of fatal injuries – electri-
cal shock
Have the electrical functioning
capability of the magnet system
and protective conductor
checked by an electronics spe-
cialist.
In emergency: Provide first aid.
Consult a doctor immediately.
Check safety devices.
6.2 Starting operation of magnet system

WARNING

Danger of injury by uncon-
trolled machine movements
Personally make sure that no
other people stand in the area.
• Consider possible collisions.
• Always expect that the machine
operates faulty or incorrectly af-
ter repair work.
• In the event of any abnormal
machine movements, switch off
machine immediately and iden-
tify cause.
In emergency: Provide first aid.
Consult a doctor immediately.
Close all accesses. Place covers and
plates in place.
Reinstall battery disconnect switch and
ensure power supply.
Start
engine.
Turn on the generator.
After the engine has run for a short time,
turn it off.
Bring the machine to a safe state.

Check the V-belt to ensure it is well
seated.
Switch on the engine again and turn on
the generator.
Slowly perform the various work move-
ments under low load. Observe the mag-
net cable as you do so.
WARNING! Unpredictable movements
are possible.
Increase the load incrementally.
After 30 minutes, switch off the engine and
allow it to cool off.
Bring the machine to a safe state.

Adjust the belt tension.

Check the magnet cable and its fastening
for incorrect tension and damage.
Connect the magnet plate and place it in
operation.

the magnet tool. Commissioning must be
performed as described by the manufac-
turer.
