Pick out the purple wire of the actuator and apply the clamp-on ammeter to it.

Run the brushes at speed 2, selected by way of the control panel.

If the brush is not lowered when started up or not raised when shut off and there is no power draw, check the
continuity of all wires in the intercable connecting the display pcb to the power pcb.

If there is no fault on any of the wires in question, replace the actuator.

On completion, reinstate the top cover of the machine.
