5 Wireless Repeating
The Router can also act as a wireless repeater to extend wireless signal. The wireless repeater can
have wired and wireless devices, and access the Internet when it connects to the wireless base station.
There are two types of Wireless Repeating:
WISP
and
Universal Repeater
. When the Router works
under
WISP
mode, it assigns IP addresses to its clients by itself. And the clients obtain IP addresses
from the base station the Router bridges when the Router works under
Universal repeater
mode.
You can select
WISP
OR
Universal repeater
to extend
your wireless network.
You need two routers: one set up as a Router which acts as a base station, and the other set up as a
bridge.
