Remove the protective dust cover from the ONT optical connector that was
exposed when the cover was removed (if present). Clean and scope the fiber
bulkhead and fiber connector per local practices.

Orient the optical fiber cable connector so that the raised key molded onto one
side of the cable connector matches the keyway in the ONT connector
(Figure 2)

Slide the cable connector into the ONT connector until a click is felt and heard.
Warning: When removing the optical fiber cable from the ONT connector, grasp the
connector body, not the strain relief or cable
Cable Routing and Management
At a minimum, the optical fiber cable and DC power cable will be connected to an ONT.
There may be many more depending on the devices subtending from the ONT.It is
important that all cables are dressed neatly and routed such that they are out of the way
and cannot be easily damaged. It is usually a good idea to bundle cables using ties.
