Installation and initial setup
Note: Do not install the TD 251/252 (base or
handset) in a bathroom or a wet room.
Location of the base
The base should be located less than 2
meters from a power outlet and
telephone.
Moreover, the TD 251/252 using radio
frequencies, the quality of
communication is highly dependent on
the radio environment and the position of
the base; it should be located at least 1
meter from an electrical appliance
(television, fluorescent tube, halogen
lamp, microwave oven, computer) or
from a reinforced concrete wall. In
addition, a maximum quality of the radio
signal will be obtained by positioning the
base at a height.
Radio coverage
The TD 251-252 has a range of about
300 meters in line of sight between the
base and the telephone. Any obstruction
significantly reduces this distance. Thus,
with a base inside a building and the
handset outdoors, the range is only 50
meters. Thick walls greatly reduce this
range.
A cut of the telephone communication
can be established following a move.
Signal strength
The
icon on your device indicates
when you are within range of the base.
Once out of range of the base, the
flashes and the handset emits a "out of
reach" warning signal every minute. This
tone is repeated until you return to the
coverage area of the base.
If you are out of reach of the base during
a call, the call is disconnected. Return to
the coverage area of the base before
making a new call. The handset will be
automatically reconnected to the base.
Important
The base station must be continuously
connected to the power outlet. Do not plug the
phone cord into the wall outlet until the handset
is fully charged. Use only the power and
telephone cables provided with the product.
Which adapter?
The power adapter with a clear
connector is intended for the base unit
and the power adapter with a red
connector is intended for the charger
(TD 252 only).

holding a clear connector in the plug
labeled
.
2. Connect the other end of the power
