Optical Mount Removal and Replacement

3. Carefully lift the optical mount up and away from the camera chassis. Retain the
fours (4) sets of mounting hardware as they will be required for installing the
alternate optical mount.
Each set of hardware comprises:
•
6-32 x 0.5 hex-head screw;
•
Split Lock Washer;
•
Flat Washer.
4. Place the optical mount that has just been removed in a safe place for storage as it
may need to be installed at a later time.
5. Carefully place the alternate optical mount on the camera chassis verifying that its
edge with the oblong raised area faces the bottom of the camera. See
6. Carefully insert one set of mounting hardware into each of the four (4) mounting
holes on the optical mount and use the 7/64-hex drive to hand tighten them.
7. Use the 7/64-inch Torque Driver to tighten each screw to 9 inch-pounds.
