Issue 1.0
10.2 Trigger Response Modes
NIRvana HS’s Trigger Response modes for Full Frame operation are:
•
No Response;
•
Start On Single Trigger;
•
Readout Per Trigger;
•
Expose During Trigger Pulse.
Timing mode, when combined with the Shutter Mode options, provide the widest
variety of modes for precision experiment synchronization.
10.2.1
External Trigger Input
The selected Trigger Response determines how the camera will respond to an External
Sync pulse supplied to the camera by the TRIGGER IN connector on the rear of the
camera. See
Figure 10-1: NIRvana HS Camera: Rear Panel
Things to keep in mind when setting up the External Sync pulse input include:
•
Pulse Height: 0 to +3.3 VDC logic levels (TTL-compatible.)
•
Pulse Width (trigger edge frequency): The time between trigger edges.
•
TRIGGER IN Connector Impedance: High impedance (~5 k
pull-up to +3.3 V.)
•
Trigger Polarity: Rising (+) or falling (-) must be indicated on the Trigger
expander.
