9.12.2.1.
Upload Firmware
1.
Press “Write”. The screen will display, “Wait for boot loader”.

When the screen displays, “Power cycle instrument now”, power up the
instrument.
The firmware loader software should display a message “Boot loader found,
uploading…”. If this message is not displayed, power down the instrument
and receck the COM port configuration and cable (see Section 9.12.1) and
retry.

When the upload is complete, a message, “Write-flash completed
successfully” should be displayed. If it is an unsuccessful upload, a
message, “Write-flash error” is displayed. If a Write-flash error occurs,
ensure that the correct PC COM port is selected for the instrument (see
Section 9.12.2, step 4).

Verify Firmware
The verify function compares the instrument’s current firmware to the selected HEX
file (see Section 9.12.2, step 5) and confirms whether or not the files are a match.

Press “Verify”. The screen will display, “Wait for boot loader”.
2.
When the screen displays, “Power cycle instrument now”, power up the
instrument.
The firmware loader software should display a message “Boot loader found,
verifying…”. If this message is not displayed, power down the instrument and
receck the COM port configuration and cable (see Section 9.12.1) and retry.
NOTE
Search for boot loader will time out in 20 seconds. If the
instrument is not powered up in 20 seconds, the screen will
display, “No boot loader detected.” Go back to step 1 to rewrite
the firmware.
NOTE
It is not recommended to stop the writing process half way
through. This will cause the firmware to not be fully uploaded.
NOTE
Search for boot loader will time out in 20 seconds. If the
instrument is not powered up in 20 seconds, the screen will
display, “No boot loader detected.” Go back to step 1 to verify
the firmware.
