CF Card Capacities The oscilloscope can store the following types and number of fi les per 1 MB of
CF card memory:

16 screen image fi les (capacity depends on the image format). (See page 109,
Save Image .)
250 oscilloscope setting (.SET) fi les. (See page 109, Save Setup .)
18 waveform (.CSV) fi les. (See page 110, Save Waveform .)
File Management Conventions
The oscilloscope uses the following fi le management conventions for mass
storage:
It checks for available space on the CF card before writing fi les, and displays
a warning message if there is not enough memory available
The term folder refers to a directory location on the CF card
The default location for the fi le save or fi le recall functions is the current folder
The root folder is A:\
The oscilloscope resets the current folder to A:\ when you power on the
oscilloscope, or when you insert a CF card after the oscilloscope is powered on
File names can have one to eight characters, followed by a period, and then
followed with an extension of one to three characters
It displays long fi le names created on PC operating systems with the shortened
fi le name from the operating system
File names are upper case
You can use the File Utilities menu to do the following tasks:
List the contents of the current folder
Select a fi le or folder
Navigate to other folders
Create, rename, and delete fi les and folders
Format the CF card
