Setting the Master-Slave Operation

DTG5078 & DTG5274 & DTG5334 Data Timing Generator User Manual 2

. The DTG5000 software will start. The DTG5000 Series 

unit will start as a slave.

While the DTG5000 Series unit operates as a slave, the DTG5000-Slave dialog box 
is displayed. At this time, all operations for the slave unit except for exiting the 
DTG5000 software should be performed from the master unit.

ENTER

) on the slave unit exits the DTG5000 

software.

Configuring DTG5000

Series as a Master

With the DTG5078 model as a master, two units of the same model can be set as 
slaves. With the DTG5274/DTG5334 model, one unit of the DTG5274/DTG5334 
model can be set as a slave.

First, quit the DTG5000 software at step 1, next, start the DTG5000 Configuration 
Utility software (Config.exe) by step 2 through step 7.

Select 

Exit

 (not ShutDown) from the File menu by pressing the 

MENU

 and 

arrow keys to exit the DTG5000 software and return to the Windows desktop.

Press 

CTRL

 + 

ESC

 to open the Start menu. Using the Up, Down, Left, and/or 

Right arrow key, select 

Programs / Tektronix / DTG5000 / DTG5000 

Configuration Utility

Select the 

OK

 and press the 

ENTER

 to start the DTG5000 Configuration 

Utility.
