Performance Check Procedure—2213 Service
HORIZONTAL
Equipment Required (see Table 4-1):
Calibration Generator (Item 1)
Two 50-S2 BNC Cables (Item 4)
Leveled Sine-Wave Generator (Item 2)
Two 50-S2 BNC Terminations (Item 5)
Time-Mark Generator (Item 3)

1. Check Timing Accuracy
a.
Connect 50-ns time markers from the time-mark
generator via a 5 0 -fi cable and a 5 0 -fi term ination to the
CH 1 OR X input connector. Connect the generator Trigger
output via a 50-£2 cable and a 50-f2 term ination to the
EXT INPUT connector.

Use the Channel 1 POSITION control to center the
trace vertically. Adjust the TRIGGER LEVEL control for
a stable, triggered display.

Use the Horizontal POSITION control to align the
2nd tim e marker w ith the 2nd vertical graticule line.
NOTE
When making tim ing measurements, use as a reference
the same p o in t on each tim e marker.

at the 10th vertical graticule line. Exclude the firs t 50 ns
o f the sweep from the measurement.

output (Normal) settings given in Table 4-4.

f. Pull out the X10 Magnifier knob.

CHECK—Magnified tim ing accuracy fo r each SEC/
D IV switch setting and corresponding time-mark generator
output (X10 Magnified) setting given in Table 4-4. A t each
setting combination, tim ing must be accurate w ithin 5%
(0.4 division) at the 10th vertical graticule line. Exclude
the first
50
ns o f the
sweep
and any
portion past the 100th
magnified division.
