The discharge pipe to the sewerage system must not be connecteddirectly to the siphon trap; thisis
to absorbbackflow of air or sewage and to make itpossible to visually check the correctdischarge of
the sewage water.
Checking the condensate drain
Once the connection of the condensate drain pipe iscompleted, itisnecessary to check that the drain works
properly.
To do this, addabout 1 litre of water slowlyinto the condensate drain pan and check that the water drain is
regular.
In case of using the condensate drain with a drain pump, itisnecessary to switch on the system for the
pump to start working.
Once ithasbeenverifiedthat the pump succeeds in draining the condensate, try to turn off the pump to
check thatthereis no return to the condensate collection tank suchas to activate an overflow alarm.
Ifnecessary, reduce the length of the discharge pipe in counter-slope.
8. CONNECTION OF THE AIR INTAKE AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The CAIO packagedunit can havetwodifferenttypes of air ducting.
A first solutionthatforesees a directsuction and delivery air ductthatserves a single room.
A second solution, more complex, whichforesees an intake air duct (alsodistributed) and a supply air duct
(alsodistributed) which serve distinct rooms.
Bothsolutions can be realised with the CAIO unitas long as the pressure drop of the ductsistakeninto
account, which must never cause the system to have an air shortage. If the ventilationisinsufficient, the
unitmayfail.
In the case of more complexsolutionsitisadvisable to consult a ductingspecialist.
