Remote Operation
Remote control of the 1803A is available via two different methods. A command structure that
allows for the control and query of all operations is available through Universal Serial Bus (USB)
and TCP/IP. The same command set and command structure is used for each and will be
explained later in this section. There is also an imbedded LAN interface that allows for additional
control of the instrument for things such as instrument calibration, firmware upgrades, and
power senor calibration tables upload. The LAN interface is only available through the TCP/IP
Connection. Refer to Figure 4.1 for location of remote interfaces.
