rolls must be disposed of in accordance with the regulations governing the collection of
environmentally-hazardous waste.
At the end of its lifespan,
FastPipe

,
it is recommended that the instructions in
the related User Manual are observed.
Disposal
Completing the installation
1.
After testing the tightness, wrap the part of
FastPipe
®
exposed to sunlight in the anti-UV protective
tape included (picture
32
).
Fixing the fittings
The procedure for fastening the fittings must be carried out in accordance with the instructions
contained in the User Manual for the Units. Make sure that the procedure described below does not
conflict with the contents of this Manual.
The tightness of the fitting is guaranteed only for one fixing: it is necessary to replace
the fitting for each repeated tightening operation.
1.
Apply spray oil (included) on the flare of the insert;
2.
Secure the fitting by screwing the nut by hand for at least two complete turns, making sure that
it is aligning correctly;
3.
Secure the nut with a torque wrench.
It is recommended to respect the declared tightening torques, i.e.:
1/4”
3/8”
1/2”
5/8”
20 Nm
35 Nm
45 Nm
80 Nm
Secure the nut firmly by using another wrench on the fitting of the Unit (or on the group of
taps) to be able to apply the correct tightening force without damaging the fitting.
Purging the circuit
•
After completing installation, it is
absolutely necessary
to empty the circuit so as not to
compromise the functionality of the Units. The purging can only be considered completed once
the internal pressure inside
FastPipe
®
circuit is stably below 500 mTorr.
The internal pressure level
is measured via an electronic vacuum gauge which is not included. The pressure is stably below
500 mTorr if, when the purge pump is switched off, the value indicated by the vacuum gauge
does not exceed this threshold.
•
To improve the outcome of the purge operation, it can
be interrupted several times with
pressurisation of circuit with nitrogen
. The so-called “vacuum breakage” allows high-range
depression levels to be reached in a relatively short time.
•
In the case of multi-split Units, one circuit can be emptied whilst the installation of the other(s) is
being completed.
