E. Lock the boring bar and feed tube by the
following:
Model T-101a
: Tighten the 1/8-inch Allen socket
head screw on the bearing retainer nut (Figure
4.26).
Model T-101b
: Install the locking cap (Figure
4.27).

Both of these methods lock the feed tube and
boring bar together permitting extension and
rotation of the boring bar at the same time.
F. Attach the crank handle to the ¾-inch hex drive
(Figure 4.28). Do not use an air motor for PIG-
SIG V setting operation.
G. Rotate the crank handle clockwise until the mark
is reached on the body tube (Figure 4.29) and the
PIG-SIG V is tight inside the fitting. To prevent
damage to the O-ring and threads, do not over-
tighten.
