C. Measure from the top of the valve to the top of
the PIG-SIG V nipple (Figure 4.2). Label this
Measurement “J” and retain for use when setting
the PIG-SIG V plug.

D. Prepare the T-101b drilling machine with a 1-
7/16-inch drill. Install and tap through the pipe
following instructions in the drilling machine
manual.
E. Close the tapping valve, bleed the pressure, and
remove the drilling machine.
⚠ WARNING
Vent pressure bleeder valve away from work area and
personnel. Stand clear of the vent when the bleeder
valve is opened. Otherwise, personal injury may result
from blowing material.
