Appendix 6
Description of the Vacuum Test
This test verifies the performance of the appliance in respect of vacuum in the sterilisation chamber:
The efficacy of the vacuum pump
The freedom from leaks of the pneumatic system.
The cycle profile is specific to this test:
A vacuum phase down to P1 = -
0.85 bar
A pause of 5’ > T2, reading of P2
A pause of 15’ > T3, reading of P3
Carry out the test as follows:
Select the Vacuum Test cycle from the menu (see below)
Now close the door and await the end of cycle.
In accordance with EN 13060, this test is required to demonstrate leakage of 1.3 mbar (0.013 bar) or less during the
10 minutes of the test; if the leakage is greater than this, the test result will be negative. The leakage of the hydraulic
circuit and the door seal should be checked.
IMPORTANT: in order to obtain a correct result, this test must be carried out when
“
cold
”
, namely immediately after
switching on at the main switch. If the test is carried out after some other cycle, alarm No. 11 will be shown on the
screen, together with the message
“
Cooling pause
”
(see table of alarms, page XXX).
