This feature alerts you when the loudspeaker of the party you are conversing with is activated for hands-free or group 
conversation. A Speaker tone and display message notify you when the called/calling party is in 

SPKR 

mode, or if 

they switch to 

SPKR 

mode during a call. 

Therefore, when advised that the second party's keyset is in speakerphone mode, you can choose to refrain from 
publicizing private information.
