Use and treatment of the power tool
1.
Do not overload the power tool. Always use the kind of tool most appropriate for your work.
Using the
appropriate tool supports better and safer work within the indicated performance range.
2.
Do not use power tools with damaged switches.
Power tools that cannot be switched on and off are dangerous
and must be repaired by authorized qualified personnel.
3.
Pull the mains plug from the socket and/or remove the battery before adjusting tool settings, changing
accessories or putting the tool aside.
These safety measures prevent an unintentional start of the power tool.
4.
Never store unused power tools within the reach of children. Do not let people use the tool that are not
acquainted with the tool or have not read the manual.
Power tools can be dangerous if used by inexperienced
people.
5.
Always treat your power tools with care. Always make sure that moving parts work correctly without being
jammed and that no parts are broken or damaged in a way that affects the functionality of the power tool.
Before using the tool have damaged parts repaired by authorized qualified personnel
.
Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power tools.
6.
Keep the cutting tools sharp and clean.
Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp edges tend to jam less and
are easier to guide.
7.
Always use power tools, accessories, insert bits etc. in accordance with this manual. Always take into
account the working conditions and the work to be executed.
The use of power tools for work other than the
designated purposes can lead to dangerous situations.
8. Do not clean plastic parts with solvents. Solvents like gasoline, diluted benzene, tetrachlormethane, and alcohol
might damage plastic parts and lead to cracks. Never use such solvents for the cleaning of plastic parts. Clean
plastic parts with a cloth moistened with soapy water and carefully dry the parts.
9.
Follow instruction for lubricating and changing accessories
.
3.5.
Maintenance
Power tools may only be maintained and repaired by authorized qualified personnel. Only original spare parts
may be used.
Only this can guarantee safety in the handling of power tools.
3.6.
Further safety instructions
1.
Warning:
The use of accessories or additional equipment other than those mentioned in this manual can lead to
risk of injuries. Only use original spare parts.
2. Keep all protection devices in working order. Never remove or block protection devices.
3.
Do not leave the tool running without supervision.
Always switch off the tool and only leave the work area after
the tool has come to a complete standstill.
4.
Secure the work piece
. Always use clamping fixtures or a vice to secure the work piece. This is safer than
securing the work piece by hand and allows to operate the tool with both hands.
5.
Noise generation:
During the operation of motor-driven tools, the use of ear mufflers is recommended.
6.
Dust protection:
Always wear a dust respirator when doing work with dust formation. If the tool is equipped with
connections for dust extraction and/or dust collection devices, connect a dust extractor or dust bag.
7.
Outdoor sockets
must be equipped with a fault current circuit breaker. This is required due to the installation
regulation for electric equipment. Please keep this in mind when using our tools.
8.
Connecting cable:
When the connecting line is damaged it has to be replaced by a special connecting line that
can be ordered from the manufacturer or the manufacturer's after-sales service. The replacement of the connecting
line has to be done by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's after-sales service or equally qualified personnel.
9. Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
3.7.
Special safety instructions for stone cutters
1. Never use the tool without the PRCD delivered with the tool.
2. Keep water clear off the electrical parts of the tool and away from persons in the working area.
3. Regularly check the hoses of the pump for damages and if applicable change them immediately to prevent danger.
4. Make sure that the directional arrow marked on the blade corresponds with the rotating direction of the motor.
5. After disconnecting the tool from the power supply, rotate the blade by hand to make sure it is free from obstruction.
6. Always keep the blade-securing bolt and collars clean.
7. Make sure that the blade-securing bolt is securely tightened.
8. Make sure that the length of the material cut-off is less than the maximum cutting length.
9. Never try to cut freehanded. Always ensure that the tile to be cut is pressed firmly against the rip fence.
10. Make sure that the cut-off piece has sufficient room to move sideways. Failure to do so may lead to the cut-off
being wedged against the blade.
11. Never cut more than one tile at a time.
12. Never cut pieces too small to be held securely against the rip fence without leaving enough space for the hand to
be a safe distance from the blade.
13. Make sure that the table and surrounding area are clear from objects with the exception of the tile to be cut.
14. Before cutting a tile, let the diamond blade run freely for a few seconds. If it makes an unfamiliar sound or vibrates
excessively, switch it off immediately and disconnect from the power supply.
15. Let the blade reach full speed before starting to cut.
16. Let the blade come to a complete standstill before removing any splinters or tile parts from around the blade area.
17. Never let the blade run dry. Failure to keep the water tank topped up will result in possible over-heating and
damage of the diamond blade.
