12.1 GENERAL
12.1.1 PURPOSE OF THE TOOL
The tube end notcher is a device for the preparation of the end of the tube before
insertion into the T-branch collar. It cuts a curved notch and produces two dimples
simultaneously, one 6mm (1/4”) atop the other. When these dimples are placed in line
with the run of the tube, one acts as a depth stop and the other as a point of inspection.
